Wye Quiz Night for Wye Centre a Great Success

A successful Quiz Night was held on Saturday 13th May in aid of Wye Centre funds. There was a great atmosphere when 15 teams in total, representing many of the village organisations, filled the hall. It was a bit like a Grand Prix with one team getting away early and being eagerly chased all the way to the finish.

It was “May contain nuts”, headed up by our Project Manager David Reece, who won the champagne prize. The “Wine Club” were second, just one point ahead of “Wye Beagles”.

The raffle was well supported with 14 prizes to be won, all donated by local businesses. This helped swell the profit from the event to just under £1400

Thanks to all those who attended and of course to those who worked hard to make it happen, especially those in the kitchen who produced chilli can carne for over 120 people.
